Trucks are a motor vehicle solution to being able to carry larger amounts of supplies in comparison to cars and wagons which can only hold as much as the backseat or trunk can handle.Trucks may also be identified in British English as a Lorry.
Typically trucks are created for personal use in transporting large objects, or even commercial use in transporting large quantities of supplies from suppliers to purchasers or dealers of the supplies.
The common term for a personal use truck would be a pickup. A pickup is a vehicle which is identified as being much bigger than a car. A station wagon which is much different than an actual truck is also in some trades considered to fall into the truck category being a station wagon is typically much larger and longer than a car seating up to 8 people on average with a much larger trunk capacity to an actual car.
A large commercial truck is traditionally identified by its large head and body, some commercial trucks carry large platforms for storing wood and manufactured homes.

A sleeper cab is a cab with a bed where the driver will pull into rest areas and sleep to better charge himself or herself for another day of travel until they reach the set destination for pickup or drop off of given materials.
Some trucks are even designed for sports events such as off roading, four wheeling, and stunt events which use a type of truck known as a monster truck.
